"Die Another Day" is being advertised as the best James Bond movie in years because he gets captured and the "Bond-girl" is supposed to be more of an equal to Bond. Jinx (Halle Berry) is one of the thinnest characters I have seen in a long while. She is a NSA agent who has the gadgets and training Bond has but still gets captured TWO times, if Bond were to be in these same situations, he would easily escape. Now don't get me wrong I liked Die Another Day but the whole story is so preposterous that it turned me off: who the main bad guy used to be, a sun beam from a satellite that could destroy anything, an ice hotel in Iceland, DNA replacement. There are a lot of computer-generated images (CGI) in this movie but they look almost cartoonish. You would think that they would have a large enough budget to make the effects look real. What is good about "Die Another Day" is Pierce Brosnan as Bond, who in my opinion is the BEST Bond, and the classic Bond elements (double-crosses, sex, funny scene with Q, sex, amazing gadgets, sex, great villains, etc.). In comparison to the other three Pierce Brosnan Bonds I think it is the third best:
1. Goldeneye
2. The World is Not Enough
3. Die Another Day
4. Tomorrow Never Dies.
Finally the best thing about the movie is the Aston Martin Vanquish (Bond's car) that would make a woman cream in her pants. Bond is back with the effects but loss of character.
