Empire

Wow, I've never seen a movie flip between good and bad so often. The movie on the whole is actually pretty good except that it just builds to a twist that you can see ten minutes into it and Universal gave it away in the trailers. John Leguizamo is actually very good at playing a South Bronx heroin dealer but I just couldn't buy him as a dramatic actor and I just never really grew to like his character. The movie tells of his dealings and his attempts to go straight by investing in companies or funds, the movie never really says but uses pretend Wall Street lingo to cope. If you haven't seen the trailer than you will probably like this movie but even forgetting the good performances and Denise Richards, I still can't bring myself to recommend this.
