This movie made me cry. Only two movies in the past have made me cry, one being 1998's Deep Impact and the other will remain nameless. Don't get the wrong idea, this isn't a tearjerker, you cry because you see what has happened to this poor individual and you can't help but cry. The movie stars Derek Luke as Fisher during his Navy days and his help by psychiatrist Jerome Davenport (Denzel Washington). They discuss what has happened t him form when his mother abandoned him, his father died a few months before he was born, being beaten by his step mother and much more. The movie was written by the real Antwone Fisher and directed by Washington which both the writing and direction are fantastic. What is sad is that reportedly the worst of what has happened to this poor soul was left out because it would've freaked out America. If this movie doesn't make you cry, then you are dead inside.
